Khalnayak was directed and produced  by Subhash Ghai in the year 1993.
This movie stars  Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Raakhee Gulzar and Ramya Krishna.The story centres around the escape and attempted capture of a terrorist criminal, Ballu, by Inspector Ram and his girlfriend Ganga.
Subhash Ghai tried his hard to bring out the story with some real success. But the movie got surrounded by many controversies due to the song,” Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai “. But though this controversy affected the reputation but made good business by giving it free publicity.
Over all the movie is cool, with a good music given by Laxmikant Pyarelal. Most of the songs are sung by Alka Yagnik and Vinod Rathod. The song of the movie ,” Nakay Nahi Kahlnayak Hoon Main ” was very popular.
