Trishul was directed by Yash Chopra in the year 1978.

The movie stars Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor,  Hema Malini, Raakhee Gulzar, Waheeda Rehman, Prem Chopra and Poonam Dhillon.The movie was a bollywood blockbuster and was the third hit of Amitabh along with Muqadar Ka Sikandar and Don. All three films were released in the same year and were a hit at the  Box Office.

The film focuses on the three intertwined stories of Amitabh, Sanjeev, and Shashi. Amitabh the unrecognised son Of Sanjeev revenges with him as Sanjeev left Amitabh’s mother when she was pregnant. He destroys his fathers business and then story gets a emotional touch.

Music of the movie is very good. It is given by Khayyam. Songs are well sung and movie won several Film Fare Awards.
