The movie shows off  a young pretender to the throne and his conniving sister are undone by a clever peasant couple. Billed in America as the ‘First Spectacular Musical Drama Ever to Come Out Of Mystical, Magical India!’ and directed by Khan, who would go on to make the classic Mother India, this is typically extravagant and seductive Hindi fare, with elaborately choreographed dance sequences and plenty of songs. There is no let up to the exuberant spectacle.The movie was appreciated and won many awards. Being above average at the Box Office, this movie has the quality to entertain your weekend.
Music of the movie is given by Naushad. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of  Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi and Shamshed Begum.
