Asin is a popular Indian film actress and model. She mostly works in South Indian movies but has also worked in some popular Bollywood films. Asin has done Malyali and Tamil films and looking at the sucess of her Tamil films she is known as the Queen of Kollywood. She won Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for her film M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi released in the year 2004. Asin was played lead role in Bollywood film Ghajini against Aamir Khan and the film grossed more than 1 Billion rupees in the domestic Box Office collection. After the success of Ghajini, she appeared in many other Bollywood film such as Bol Bachchan, Khiladi 786 etc.

Asin was born in Cochin, Kerala on 26 October, 1985. She now lives in Mumbai, Lokhandwala area. Her father Joseph managed several businesses and her mother was a surgeon. Asin’s name means one with purity and without blemish.
