Shahid is an upcoming film produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Hansal Mehta. It is a biographical film, based on real life story of Shahid Azmi. Shahid Azmi was a lawyer and a Human rights activist. He was assassinated in 2010 in Mumbai. Hansal Mehta decided to make the film when he come to know about the condition of Shahid Azmi. Hansal Mehta has faced the similar situation when he was assaulted by Shiv Sena for his film “Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar!”. Hansal said that though Shahid couldn’t speak on his own side but he will tell Shahid’s story to all.

Shahid (2013) film is selected by UTV Motion pictures for distribution and is scheduled to release on 18 October, 2013. Here I am sharing with you the trailer of Shahid (2013). This film stars Rajkumar Yadav, Pranab Panjabi, K K Menon and Tigmanshu Dhulia in lead roles. Music of the movie is given by Karan Kulkarni.
