Guddi was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee in the year 1971.
 
The movie stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Utpal Dutt.Jaya Bachchan made her career by this film. She played a obsessed school girl and was fantastic in her role. Even  Dharmender on the hero side.The chemistry and concept was widely appreciated by audience.
 
Jaya Bachchan won the Best Actress nomination and this was the only nomination for the movie. All depeneded on Jaya.
 
Music of the movie is given by Vasant Desai. And songs are beautifully sung by Vani Jairam. The song ,” Humko Man ki Shakti Dena” is very beautiful and is accepted more as a spiritual one.
