Sadma was directed by Balu Mahendra in the year 1983.

The movie stars  Kamal Haasan, Sridevi, Gulshan Grover and Silk Smitha.Its one of the classic films produced in Indian cinema. The movie has a nice story and top performance.The picture tells the story of Nehalata (Sridevi), a young woman who regresses to childhood after suffering a head injury in a car crash. Lost, she ends up trapped at a brothel before being rescued by Somu (Kamal Haasan), a lonely school teacher who falls in love with her.
The movie won much acclaims and was critical but coudn’t perform well at the Box Office.Chemistry between Sridevi and Kamal Hassan was also appreciated.

Music is very good. It is given by Ilayaraaja. Songs are sung by  Asha Bosle and Suresh Wadkar.
