Sholay was directed by Ramesh Sippy in the year 1975.

The movie stars Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bhaduri and Amjad Khan.Sholay was the first film in the history of Indian cinema to celebrate a silver jubilee (25 weeks) at over a hundred theaters across India.The movie is great with influential dialouges, impressive story and fabulous contribution by actors. The film was the highest grossing film of the decade.The movie earned Rs 768,81,00,000, equivalent to US$ 160 million, after adjusting for inflation.
Music is also fantastic. It is given by R.D Burman. Songs are awesome and are very popular.
