Umrao Jaan was directed by Muzaffar Ali in the year 1981.

The movie stars Rekha, Seema Sathyu, Farooq Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah, Umme Farwa, Shaukat Kaifi, Dina Pathak, Prema Narayan, Gajanan Jagirdar, Raj Babbar, Bharat Bhushan and Satish Shah.Rekha was praised very much for her acting contribution.The movies chracter Umrao Jaan became popular widely but critically movie was average on the Box Office.
Music of the movie is very good. It is given by Khayyam. The songs are sung by Asha Bhosle. Some songs like “Dil cheez kya hai”, “Justuju Jiski Thi”, “In ankhon ki masti”, and “Yeh kya jagah hai doston” are very popular.

    Thanks for sharing your music. I found some of the songs that were on my audio tapes but the tapes are now old and noisy.
