Yaarana was directed by Rakesh Kumar in the year 1981.

The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Neetu Singh, Tanuja and Kader Khan.I can’t describe this movie better then what wiki does,

This was one of the films where Amjad Khan plays a positive role. Nearly all of his other films with Amitabh Bachchan have been where he plays a villain role. Kishan (Amitabh Bachchan) is a village farmer who has a great voice for singing. Bishan (Amjad Khan) is his childhood friend gets separated in childhood when Bishan is taken away by his mother to the city for studies.
Bishan comes back as a successful city businessman, to take Kishan to the city and make him famous for his talent. He refuses. Kishan goes to the city with his friend, where Bishan asks Komal (Neetu Singh) to turn the farmer into a gentleman.Finally Kishan becomes a star and Komal falls in love with him. Bishan loses his mental balance and is sent to a hospital asylum. Can Kishan save him? 
This movie became a ‘blockbuster’ at  Box office.

Music of the movie is awesome. It is given by Rajesh Roshan. The songs, ” Saara Zamana ” and ” Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan ” are among my favorites.
