Joker directed by Shirish Kunder was released on 31 August, 2012. It is a science fiction comedy film which was written by Shrish Kunder only, he tried to give a new concept of thought by introducing problem of small villages and how people of a village try to overcome it. But the concept couldn’t work well and movie was a flop.

The film Joker (2012) star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Minisha Lamba and Shreyas Talpade. Movie is produced by Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar. The film was distributed under the banner of Hari Om entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures.

The film shows the story of a scientist Agastya (played by Akshay Kumar) who is working to make a device with which he could communicate with aliens. But his seniors aren’t happy with him and give him a deadline of one month. Then after a few days, his girlfriend Diva (played by Sonakshi Sinha) informs him that her father is very ill in the village and so they have to go to meet him. On going there, he finds that it was a pretext. Her father was not really ill. Also, the scenario of the village is quite different. One person thinks he is a lamp post, others think that World War second is going on. On getting apprised about the truth he becomes nervous and plans to leave. But there he sees that people are facing allot of problems as the village is absent from the demarcated map of India. Then he thinks of a plan to bring it in the boundaries. What he thinks of? What are his plans? It is in the movie.  Overall, the story is good but the film couldn’t perform well at the Box Office.
